Foundations
In this retreat, you’ll dive deep into the Wood element, which symbolizes growth, flexibility, and forward momentum. You’ll learn how to work with the Liver and Gallbladder meridians, aligning with the energy of Spring to support both physical and energetic expansion. Through hands-on practice, you’ll gain confidence in delivering a 45-minute Shiatsu sequence, focusing on the wood element.
Philosophy
Spring is a time of new beginnings, and in Shiatsu, the Wood element represents adventure, spontaneity, and the power of growth. Our retreat philosophy is rooted in understanding these energies—giving you the tools to embody both forward movement and adaptability, while creating space for personal and professional expansion. Spring is the time to move you forward.
Shiatsu Techniques
You’ll learn to apply Shiatsu techniques related to the Wood element, helping to stimulate movement, release tension, and promote flexibility. The retreat emphasizes practical application, enabling you to confidently give spring-related treatments to family or friends, centered around growth and expansion. Practitioners of other modalities can integrate this into their existing practice.
Functional knowledge
Explore how the Liver and Gallbladder meridians influence overall health, particularly in relation to muscles and flexibility, and the relation to changes in the Spring Season. We’ll also focus on how the bladder meridian aids in relieving tension, helping the body adapt and thrive during times of change.
Seasonal Energy
The energy of Spring is one of action and purpose. In this retreat, you’ll align with the natural rhythms of the season, using Shiatsu techniques to harness spring’s dynamic energy for planning, growth, and initiating new projects—whether personal or professional.
Embrace the season of growth!
Self-Discovery
Our Spring Retreat offers more than just bodywork training—it’s a chance to reconnect with yourself. The forward-moving energy of Wood invites reflection and spontaneity, helping you step into new beginnings with confidence and a deeper connection to your body’s natural rhythms.
